Tennis, Reading, Walking around a town

As my first major research, I have been studying ultrafast optics using femtosecond lasers. When I was an undergraduate school student, I have thought that I would have entered a doctoral program and have become an engineer for our society. However, after I entered the graduate school, I changed my mind and decided to join the Program for Leading Graduate School (PLGS), since I have been thinking of my goal to have a wide range of knowledge beyond the framework of humanities and science along with my expertise and a broad perspective of view and vision in order to make use of my education for the Japan’s future society, in particular global societies. I realize that the PLGS enables me to fulfill my goal. All people in the PLGS are very aggressive about their research and thoughts for the future society, all creating a really stimulating environment. I will do my best to absorb as much as possible that I would gain in the PLGS.
