The discovery and the evaluation of African art (“art nègre”) in Europe at the beginning of the 20th century

Travel, photograph, reading, art appreciation

My major is the Western modern and contemporary art history, and I have been interested in arts since I had lived in France for four and half years. In these days of the globalization, we have to accept a variety of values. I would like to solve this problem by appreciating arts at different times and communities. Since there are people with different backgrounds in the Program for Leading Graduate School, I would like to explore a potential of arts by receiving opinions from these people.
